Figures Don't Lie: An HISTORIC Showing By Trump!

Oh, Now THIS Is VERY Interesting . . .

Those who said democracy was threatened? Well, they broke for Trump. And those who said democracy was secure. Yeah . . . they broke for Trump, too! YOWZA!

Oh, My! President Trump's Historic Mandate!

From the Trump/Vance team:

President Donald J. Trump won the 2024 presidential election with an historic mandate. As the first Republican to win the popular vote in two decades, President Trump did so by stitching together the broadest, most diverse coalition in modern history.

"The breadth of improvement that Donald Trump had — Holy Toledo! ... No matter where you looked, Donald Trump was improving on where he did four years ago," said CNN's Harry Enten.

Here's what you need to know:

  • President Trump gained support in 49 states and the District of Columbia over 2020 — the biggest party gain since 1992.

  • President Trump had the best Republican showing among 18-29-year-olds since 2004, among Black voters since 1976, and among Hispanic voters since at least 1972.

  • President Trump aided House Republicans in their best popular vote showing since 1928.

It was a resounding victory — a shift that highlights President Trump's connection with American voters and the trust he has earned by fighting for them. It's why, beginning on Day One, President Trump will be better positioned than ever to begin undoing the damage of the past four years and delivering results for the American people.

The Great American Comeback begins on January 20, 2025.

From Matt Rooney: Jersey Is Now A SWING STATE!

Our thanks to Save Jersey for allowing us to reprint this cogent post election analysis from our friend, Matt Rooney:

We’ll drill down more on the numbers in the days and weeks ahead, Save Jerseyans, but… wow.

What else can we say??

President-elect Donald Trump trailed Kamala Harris by only 4.8-points in New Jersey on Wednesday morning around 1:00 a.m. with 88% reporting. That’s the closest margin in a New Jersey presidential contest since 1992 when Bill Clinton edged out George H. W. Bush by a little over 2-points (42.95% to 40.58%).

I had warned you that this COULD be the closest finish for a Republican here in a long time. One Cygnal poll predicted a 12-point race. Few believed a low single digit showing was in the cards.

No Republican has carried the state since 1988. Trump just did better than Bob Dole, George W. Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney who all lost by double digit margins (except Dubya who did a hair better than 7-points in the aftermath of 9/11). Donald Trump is also presently winning FIVE (!!!) New Jersey counties which he lost in 2020: Cumberland (50.8%), Morris (50.8%), Passaic (50.0%), Atlantic (51.0%), Gloucester (50.8%). Some of the local results are even more astounding: Kamala Harris won North Bergen (Hudson County) by a mere 8,928 to Trump’s 8,083. It previously voted 2-1 for Biden in 2020. North Bergen is 70% Hispanic!

New Jersey Republicans now have a choice heading into 2025, a gubernatorial AND Assembly cycle…

Are they going to embrace the man who’s proven better suited than any of their preferred country club Republicans at building a winning Garden State coalition? A working class, multi-racial party with a strong bench of leaders and influencers? And policies that not only advance our core principles but also appeal to a broad base of supporters?

Or stubbornly persist in believing, despite all available evidence, that Trump and his movement are a hinderance?

But like I said: more on that later. I’ve got a whisky to finish, then bed.

The Five Big Lessons Of Trump's Triumph

Here are five big takeaways from Trump's stunning victory. Don't forget them:

1) There are second (and third!) acts in American life. The famous American novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote that "there are no second acts in American lives." He has once again been proven wrong. You can emerge, later (or even very late) in life and achieve great things.

2) A setback is nothing more than a setup for a comeback. If you have the right attitude and refuse to be deterred, you can emerge from what seems like failure and turn it into the springboard for success.

3) Don't complicate things. Keep the goal that you have in mind clear and simple. In fact, if you can't sum it up in three or four words ("MAGA") it may not even be worth achieving.

4) No guts, no glory. If you're not willing to get out there and take a chance, you may never take the first daring steps you need to reach the top. Risk is part of the journey.

5) Trust your instincts. A famous philosopher once described instinct as the essence of common sense and, added that "enough of it is genius." We've just witnessed the power -- indeed, the supremacy -- of instinct.

Oh, and here's one more: You really can teach an old dog new tricks. You can learn and adapt , no matter how old or how set in your ways you may seem to be,. But, you must be a receptive student. Trump quickly adapted, using social media in new and innovative ways and reaching new groups of voters who had not previously been kindly disposed toward him. It can be done!

Catholic Vote: EVERYTHING Is On The Line Now!

Here is a special message from Brian Birch of catholicvote.org

I was in Milwaukee last night for the last big rally with Trump in Wisconsin.

Kamala Harris had her own rally just 7 miles away.

I got to talk briefly with President Trump before he spoke to the massive crowd.

Here’s what he said to me: “I see what you are doing. Thank you. She hates Catholics. I just don’t get it, how could any Catholic vote for her?”

It’s a great question. Even President Trump, a non-Catholic, can see the truth. She doesn’t simply hate Catholics, she hates what we believe. She believes our Catholic way of life is oppressive and wrong.

And she wants us out of the way.

Meeting President Trump is always an honor. The excitement of being just 4 days out from the election made it even more dramatic. The arena was packed, with the upper deck nearly full. The crowd was electric, with many attendees dancing while wearing garbage vests to highlight President Biden’s recent slur.

It’s hard not to feel extra proud to be an American at a rally like last night. And not just because of President Trump or because they played the famous Lee Greenwood song. Seeing tens of thousands of Americans willing to spend their Friday night rallying for faith, family, and freedom moves you.

I was in the hallway of the arena as the rally began. Everyone around me stopped moving and grew quiet. And then I realized why. The speaker on stage was opening the rally with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. A huge line of hungry attendees waiting for food all stood with their hand on their heart.

I noticed even one of the concession vendors paused working for a moment.

Patriotism before popcorn.

I also had a chance to talk last night with GOP Senate candidate Eric Hovde. I mentioned this to him later in the evening. He told me something striking…

Kamala Harris rallies never open with a prayer.

Or the Pledge of Allegiance.

Last night, Harris’ rally opened with the Mayor of Milwaukee.

Followed by a pro-abortion rapper.

The choice is yours, America.

Brian Birch, President, Catholic Vote

P.S. I told President Trump last night that we know the race is close. And that Catholics could deliver the victory for him. Now I need your help to help make that happen!

Today while watching some college football and raking leaves… take a minute and contact 10 voters! Or more…

It matters.

WOW! Philly's 'No Name Pops' Just Got A Name!

The No Name Pops (NNP) has secured the full and complete rights to the trademarked name "The Philly Pops” through the generosity of the Nero family.

Finger Prince, Inc., the organization established by the late Peter Nero, the orchestra’s celebrated music director and conductor, officially assigned the trademark “The Philly Pops” to the NNP by agreement dated October 25, 2024. This agreement includes the Estate’s transfer of Peter Nero’s extensive music library, which includes scores, sheet music, memorabilia, and recordings that chronicle his career. As a continuing tribute to the late conductor, the NNP has designated him as “Music Director Emeritus,” and will honor him through performing his music and dedicated performances. This agreement ensures that Peter Nero's enduring impact on Pops music in Philadelphia and beyond will be celebrated and shared with audiences well into the future.

This monumental event follows the positive response from the NNP’s patrons, who celebrated the potential return of the name following the ensemble’s highly successful April 20, 2024 concert, TIMELESS: A Tribute to The Legacy of Peter Nero. Acknowledging the musicians’ dedication and the orchestra's enduring bond with its audience, NNP’s leadership determined that the name should belong to those who bring the music to life: the musicians themselves.

“We are incredibly honored to carry on the tradition and legacy that Peter Nero created in Philadelphia. This is a story about our dedicated musicians who stood up for what they believed in and kept the music alive. We look forward to a bright future of performing all styles of music for all communities in Philadelphia,” says Matt Koveal, Executive Director of the No Name Pops.

Jedd Nero and Beverly, children of the late Peter Nero, expressed their heartfelt approval of the agreement. "We're grateful to Matt Koveal, board, staff, and musicians for carrying on our father's legacy as founding Music Director Emeritus of The Philly Pops. He cherished the great people and City of Philadelphia and will be with you all in spirit at every concert, relishing and celebrating every note. We wish you tremendous, enduring, success.”

For musicians of NNP, this is not only a name change but a reaffirmation of their commitment to their craft and their community.

“As a longtime member of this orchestra, it means so much to perform under the Philly Pops banner once again,” said Ron Kerber, founding board member and perennial member of the woodwinds section who performed under the baton of Peter Nero for years. “Peter Nero set the gold standard for what a pops orchestra should be, and it feels right that his musical spirit will live on through us. We’re excited to honor his legacy and continue bringing exceptional music to Philadelphia.”

NNP looks forward to celebrating this new chapter with their devoted audience and honoring Peter Nero’s legacy by continuing to deliver the vibrant performances that have made the Philly Pops an integral part of the city’s cultural fabric.

Details on the change of name and branding will be forthcoming.

The No Name Pops looks forward to two upcoming performances in Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center: “California Dreamin’ - Jessica Vosk Sings Songs from Laurel Canyon” featuring Broadway’s Jessica Vosk with Conductor Chris Dragon on Saturday, November 16 at 3 p.m. and “A Philly Holiday Spectacular” featuring vocalists Nikki Renee Daniels, Jeff Kready, conductor Philadelphia Native Na’Zir McFadden, The No Name Pops Chorus, The St. Thomas Gospel Choir, and Santa on December 14 at 2 p.m. For tickets and information, visit www.nonamepops.org

About The No Name Pops (NNP): Founded in 2023, The No Name Pops is a versatile ensemble composed of the former musicians of The Philly Pops with a mission to deliver authentic, exceptional musical experiences in the Philadelphia region. NNP melds tradition with an innovative approach unbound by musical genre for concert experiences that entertain and empower the entire community. The No Name Pops respects the rich legacy of the music of Peter Nero, Grammy Award-winning pianist and conductor who launched and solidified Pops music in Philadelphia for over three decades. Led by accomplished conductors and featuring world-class soloists, The No Name Pops continues to captivate audiences with its vibrant and diverse repertoire.

OMG! Harris/Biden Jobs Report WORST In 4 Years!

The last jobs report before the election is ABYSMAL: revealing that only 12,000 jobs were created across the nation last month falling short of economist expectations by 100,000 jobs.

This is the slowest job growth in FOUR YEARS, since the HEIGHT OF THE PANDEMIC. When Americans head to the ballot box, data like this reconfirms the economic hardships they have living under the Biden-Harris failed agenda and sends a strong message to hard working families- bring back MAGANOMICS.

  • Only 12,000 jobs were created last month—way below the 112,000 jobs that economists expected.
  • 46,000 manufacturing jobs were lost last month alone!
  • Job creation in October slowed to its weakest pace since 2020, the HEIGHT OF THE PANDEMIC.
  • “Private sector jobs: NEGATIVE 28,000. NEGATIVE. We were looking for 90,000 added,” Fox Business.
  • “It's a MASSIVE drop from what we saw in September. We lost over 110,000 jobs over August and September,”- CNN.
  • The economy has bled a staggering 1 million jobs over the past year and only added part-time work.

This is the worst jobs report in FOUR YEARS- the contrast couldn’t be clearer-  Harris broke it, and Donald Trump will fix it.

The Dreaded Curse Of The Sitting Vice President?

Vice President John Breckinridge, 1860.
Here's a little known fact: in the nearly 250 years since our nation's founding, only four sitting US vice presidents have gone on to become president. And three of those were in the 18th and 19th century.

They were John Adams (1796), Thomas Jefferson (1800) and Martin VanBuren (1836). The only sitting vice president to be elected president in the modern era was George H. W. Bush in 1988. And that was more than 35 years ago.

Yes, Richard Nixon and Joe Biden both served as vice president and later became president but they were not serving as vice president when they won. In fact, Nixon lost his bid for the presidency as a sitting vice president in 1960. Other sitting vice presidents in the modern era who failed in their bids to become president include Al Gore (2000) and Hubert Humphrey (1968). Prior to that, Vice President John Breckinridge lost his presidential race to Abraham Lincoln in 1860.

So, the record is not good for sitting vice presidents attempting to be elected president. Since 1836, one of them has succeeded in that effort while four of them have lost. Why is this so? Perhaps the single most important reason is this: while still in office, vice presidents find it hard to break away from the president they are serving and they are often blamed for and burdened with the errors of that president. People also get tired of the team in power and want a change. Kamala Harris, please take note.

Italian American Heritage Month: Phillip Mazzei

Virginia wine country and quite possibly the United States of America as we know it may not have existed, had it not been for Italian physician Philip Mazzei.

Born Filippo Mazzei, in Tuscany, in 1730, Mazzei practiced medicine in Italy and the Middle East for several years, before moving to London to take up a new career as a merchant. While in London, he worked as a wine merchant and met Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Adams, who convinced him to come to the U.S. for his next venture.

In 1773, Mazzei and a group of Italians came to Virginia and introduced the cultivation of vineyards, olives and other Mediterranean fruits. Mazzei’s neighbor in Virginia happened to be Thomas Jefferson, and the two struck up a friendship, opening what was to become the first commercial vineyard in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In 1779, Mazzei returned to Italy as an agent for the state of Virginia, during the American Revolutionary War, seeking to borrow money for the state from the Grand Duke of Tuscany, as well as gather any useful political or military information for Virginia.

Yes, This REALLY DID JUST HAPPEN!

Does She Even KNOW Who She Is? Huh?

Italian American Heritage Month: Marotta/DiMaggio

In the early 1970s, Italian American entrepreneur Vincent Marotta, Sr. had an idea to create an automatic drip coffee maker. Up until this point, coffee was primarily made in a percolator, which gave it an unappealing burnt taste due to the machine’s endless recirculation and reheating of the coffee.

At the time, Marotta and business partner Samuel Glazer owned a Cleveland-based company, North American Systems, that focused on coffee delivery, and decided to hire two former Westinghouse engineers to engineer Marotta’s idea. In 1972, the first Mr. Coffee brand drip coffee maker hit the stores for the home consumer.

In 1973, Marotta was able to sign on baseball great Joe DiMaggio as a spokesperson for the brand. By April 1974, the coffee maker had sold more than one million units and continues to this day to be the best-selling coffee makers in the world.
