During Holy Week, Defending Our Christian Faith!

A very special message from President Trump:

This Holy Week, Melania and I join in prayer with Christians celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—the living Son of God who conquered death, freed us from sin, and unlocked the gates of Heaven for all of humanity.

Beginning with Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and culminating in the Paschal Triduum, which begins on Holy Thursday with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, followed by Good Friday, and reaching its pinnacle in the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night. This week is a time of reflection for Christians to memorialize Jesus’ crucifixion—and to prepare their hearts, minds, and souls for His miraculous Resurrection from the dead.

During this sacred week, we acknowledge that the glory of Easter Sunday cannot come without the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross.  In His final hours on Earth, Christ willingly endured excruciating pain, torture, and execution on the cross out of a deep and abiding love for all His creation.  Through His suffering, we have redemption.  Through His death, we are forgiven of our sins.  Through His Resurrection, we have hope of eternal life.  On Easter morning, the stone is rolled away, the tomb is empty, and light prevails over darkness—signaling that death does not have the final word.

This Holy Week, my Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government.  We will never waver in safeguarding the right to religious liberty, upholding the dignity of life, and protecting God in our public square.

As we focus on Christ’s redeeming sacrifice, we look to His love, humility, and obedience—even in life’s most difficult and uncertain moments.  This week, we pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our beloved Nation.  We pray that America will remain a beacon of faith, hope, and freedom for the entire world, and we pray to achieve a future that reflects the truth, beauty, and goodness of Christ’s eternal kingdom in Heaven.

May God bless you and your family during this special time of year and may He continue to bless the United States of America.

Iran Talks Achieving 'Constructive' Results!

STATEMENT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE

“U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Steven Witkoff, accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to Oman Ana Escrogima, conducted talks today in Muscat with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi, which were hosted by Omani Foreign Minister Said Badr.  The discussions were very positive and constructive, and the United States deeply thanks the Sultanate of Oman for its support of this initiative.  Special Envoy Witkoff underscored to Dr. Araghchi that he had instructions from President Trump to resolve our two nations’ differences through dialogue and diplomacy, if that is possible. These issues are very complicated, and Special Envoy Witkoff’s direct communication today was a step forward in achieving a mutually beneficial outcome. The sides agreed to meet again next Saturday.”

Trump Takes Cognitive Test, Aces It, He Says!

These Foreign Criminals Received Medicaid!

From the Department of Government Efficiency:

“Under the Biden administration, it was routine for Border Patrol to admit aliens into the United States with no legal status and minimal screening. So far, CBP identified a subset of 6.3k individuals paroled into the United States since 2023 on the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center watchlist or with criminal records. These paroles have since been terminated with immediate effect.

Despite having no other legal status, paroled aliens are able to file for work authorization and receive social security numbers. Among these 6.3k paroled aliens with criminal or terrorist records (all have a social security number):
- 905 collecting Medicaid (including 4 on the terrorist watch list). $276k was paid out
- 41 collecting Unemployment Insurance, receiving $42k in benefits
- 22 received federal student loans totaling $280k
- 409 received {net} tax refunds (2024 only) for $751k
- Several (final number TBD) received SNAP (food stamp) benefits”

Why Trump's Tariffs Are Needed Now . . .

It’s cliché, yet true — the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and expecting a different result.

The trade policies of the past several decades have failed this nation, its workers, and our communities.

Twenty years ago, The New York Times Editorial Board responded to the January 2005 trade deficit of $58.3 billion by writing an editorial entitled “Dangerous deficits.” Deficits are certainly dangerous; former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker said trade deficits were to blame for the Great Recession.

The Times wrote in 2005: “At $58.3 billion, the U.S. trade deficit for January exceeded everyone's worst expectations… The trade deficit is the single most important factor in measuring the extent to which the United States lives beyond its means.”

Since then, our trade deficit has more than DOUBLED. The U.S. trade deficit in January totaled a whopping $131.4 billion.

The impact has been seen everywhere.

Since 1990, manufacturing employment has decreased by 59% in New York and decreased by 35% in Ohio.

The loss of these jobs killed innocent Americans and destroyed towns. Multiple studies show the loss of jobs due to bad trade deals led to an increase in drug overdoses.

However, liberal commentators have lost interest in fixing this problem. In fact, they are offended at the suggestion that industry should return to America.

Chris Matthews was inexplicably stunned on MSNBC and asked, “What are we going to do? Have more lumber made in the United States now!?” Yes, we are. President Donald J. Trump even signed an executive order to expand American timber production.

Likewise, Nia Malika-Henderson on CNN ridiculously asked, “Is it worth it to upend the global economy for HVAC jobs?” Apparently, Nia Malika-Henderson thinks preserving low-wage jobs in China is more important than creating high-wage jobs in America.

The loss of American industry means we struggle to build shipsmedicine, and other essential goods. This is a national security emergency.

Fortunately, we are already seeing progress in reshoring American industry. President Trump remains undeterred in his mission to Make America Wealthy Again.

Trump Effect: Historic Drop In Inflation, HOORAY!

After today’s inflation report showed the first consumer price decline in years, a decrease in energy prices, and real average hourly wage growth, one thing is clear: President Donald J. Trump’s economic agenda is delivering for Americans.

Here’s what they’re saying:

Council of Economic Advisers Chair Stephen Miran: “That core inflation print, on an annual basis, was the lowest core inflation print since March of 2021, so President Trump’s policies are working at keeping inflation at bay, keeping inflation down. Between that and what’s going on with trade — America is back.”

Economist E.J. Antoni, Ph.D.: “This is truly remarkable: Average annual inflation rate from ‘09 until ‘21 was 1.8%, then Biden drove it up to 8.6% for a year and a half, then it rose steadily at 3.1% for the rest of his term; but now Trump is averaging a mere 1.0% -remarkable!”

CNBC’s Rick Santelli: “We were expecting the exact opposite … These are definitely low numbers!”

CNN’s Matt Egan: “This was actually a drop of .1% — that's the first time we've seen that since COVID. Year-over-year, the annual inflation rate was at 2.4%. This was also better than expected and a 6-month low, moving in the right direction.”

USA Today: “Inflation eased more than expected to a five-month low in March as gasoline and used car prices tumbled and rent increases softened further...”

Axios: “Inflation was notably cooler than expected in March: The overall Consumer Price Index dropped as energy prices plummeted, while the core measure that excludes food and energy rose just slightly.”

Bloomberg: “Inflation came in notably weaker than expected for last month, with the headline CPI falling 0.1% — thanks in part to a tumble in gasoline prices. None of the 67 forecasters in Bloomberg’s survey had predicted a drop.”

CNN: “Inflation slowed sharply in March, new data showed Thursday, underscoring the continued strength and resilience of the economy ahead of President Trump’s aggressive trade moves.”

Associated Press: “U.S. inflation declined last month as the cost of gas, airline fares, and hotel rooms fell, a sign that price growth was cooling even as President Donald Trump ramped up his tariff threats.”

The Wall Street Journal: “Consumer prices declined month-over-month in March for the first time in nearly five years, a welcome development for inflation-weary consumers…”

Breitbart: “U.S. consumer prices fell in March, pushed down by a decline in the price of goods and defying predictions that President Trump’s tariff plans would push up prices. This was the first drop in consumer prices in nearly three years and only the second decline since inflation accelerated under Joe Biden to the worst rates in decades.”

The Washington Post: “Inflation cooled significantly in March amid a drop in energy and transportation prices, giving consumers a bit of a break”

The Daily Caller: “Trump Notches Win As Inflation Eases More Than Expected In March”

NBC News: “The pace of price hikes for airfare, car insurance, used vehicles and recreation all eased in March.”

CBS News: “Consumer price growth cooled in March as the White House prepared far-reaching global tariffs, with a key inflation measure falling to its lowest level since March 2021 … On a monthly basis, prices actually fell 0.1% in March, the first monthly drop in nearly five years.”

CNBC: “Consumer price inflation eased more than expected in March as President Donald Trump prepared to launch tariffs against U.S. trading partners”

Reuters: “US consumer prices post first decline in nearly five years”

Barron’s: “Inflation Cools More Than Expected”

Instantly, Trump Explains It All For You!

BREAKING BIG Announcement From President Trump!

From President Trump, moments ago on Truth social:

Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the U.S.A., and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable. Conversely, and based on the fact that more than 75 Countries have called Representatives of the United States, including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and the USTR, to negotiate a solution to the subjects being discussed relative to Trade, Trade Barriers, Tariffs, Currency Manipulation, and Non Monetary Tariffs, and that these Countries have not, at my strong suggestion, retaliated in any way, shape, or form against the United States, I have authorized a 90 day PAUSE, and a substantially lowered Reciprocal Tariff during this period, of 10%, also effective immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Yeah, I'm A Boomer! Ya Got A Problem With That?

The boomers are getting a bad rap -- again.

The generation born between 1946 and 1964 used to be the source of endless fascination and the darlings of the media. Now, we've become America's favorite whipping boy, or gal or whoever or whatever.

We've been blamed for bankrupting social security, the decline of the family, the abandonment of traditional values, America's monstrous debt, the loss of numerous wars, gender blending, rampant promiscuity, drug culture, lawlessness, depravity, the mental health crisis and the problems of every generation that followed us.

At the 1964 NY Worlds Fair.

And now a new trope is making the rounds: The boomers had it easy; they were indulged; loud, spoiled and obnoxious, they grew up to be shrill, aged hippies who clog our streets with endless demonstrations on behalf of lunatic leftwing causes that make no sense. They're never satisfied. They're reliving Woodstock at our expense. Sitting on all our money, they're the source of all our grief.

Well, the time has come to set things straight. So, here's my tale of indulged boomerdom:

I did NOT "have it easy." I grew up in a row home in a decaying industrial city. My father was a janitor and my mother worked in a sweatshop. They struggled mightily to get ahead.

I was the first of my extended family to attend college. Of course, as a young person full of hope and ambition, I was certain the whole world was awaiting my arrival. But upon graduation I was greeted with scores of rejection letters for jobs I sought. I kept the letters, resolving to defy those who turned me away -- to prove them wrong. And through hard work and determination, I did just that.

My wife (also a boomer) and I raised a family. When we sought a mortgage to buy a home, interest rates were as high as 15 percent. But we eventually acquired a modest home, maintained our home, paid our mortgage and taxes and did our duty as an active, engaged, patriotic citizens. And, BTW: We weren't at Woodstock. Lots of boomers can tell this same story.

Boomers have been through a lot. We've lived through the assassinations of JFK, RFK and MLK, the Vietnam war (several of my HS classmates died there) the energy crisis, the Iran hostage crisis, Carter stagflation, the 1987 stock market crash, the Gulf War, 9/11, the 2008 crash and Covid -- turbulent times, to say the least.

Are there boomers protesting? Yes, of course. We're a big, noisy, active generation. We always have been. And this is America and those who protest have that right. I vehemently disagree with the protestors, am in many cases ashamed of them and feel some are hopelessly stuck in the '60s and should have moved on years ago.

But I know they're a distinct minority of my generation and the vast majority of us are not out on the streets protesting. We're trying to live what's left of our lives. We're neither looking for plaudits, nor carping nor scapegoating. By the same token, we do not seek to be scapegoats ourselves. If fact, we're tired of being trashed. So, we're speaking up now to do what little we can to set the record straight.

And since we're not planning to bow out any time soon, we'll do our best to nimbly hold on to what we have for now, even amidst some turbulence. Yes, others could learn a lot from us but few even inquire of us any more. That's OK. We know who we are and we're proud of what we have accomplished, both for ourselves and for the nation we love.

Freakish Dem Party Overrun With Radical Crazies!

The Summit At One Vanderbilt? Quite Dazzling!

The Summit sits 94 stories above its stately neighbor, Grand Central Station.
The building is appropriately named One Vanderbilt because it's poised aside tiny Vanderbilt Avenue, so named for the founder of the New York Central Railroad (and the reason for Grand Central) Cornelius Vanderbilt.
The Summit is a dazzling tourist attraction.
We've never seen or experienced anything quite like it.
It delivers more than just great 360 degree views of Manhattan in almost any weather. Surprisingly, the views become almost secondary to the space itself.
The Summit is a visual feast and a delightful, playful, captivating sensory experience. In a city of skyscrapers this unique cloud piercer certainly stands apart!

Assassination: Does The Left Find It OK? Really?

These numbers are horrifying!
Even the aggregate numbers are bad but the leftist numbers are truly scary, and of course, totally irrational!

Here's what Charlie Kirk wrote about this:
Assassination culture is spreading on the left.
Forty-eight percent of liberals say it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk. Fifty-five percent said the same about Donald Trump.
In California, activists are naming ballot measures after Luigi Mangione.
The left is being whipped into a violent frenzy. Any setback, whether losing an election or losing a court case, justifies a maximally violent response.
This is the natural outgrowth of left-wing protest culture tolerating violence and mayhem for years on end. The cowardice of local prosecutors and school officials have turned the left into a ticking time bomb.
