Harlem Globetrotters To Fight Bullying

The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will aim to prevent bullying in local schools as they bring their “ABCs of Bullying Prevention” program to multiple schools on Tuesday, November 12 and Wednesday, November 13 in anticipation of their upcoming shows in the Philadelphia region.

The program was created to impact schools and communities around the world. It was designed in coordination with the National Campaign to Stop Violence (NCSV).

The ABCs stand for Action, Bravery, and Compassion. The program targets children between the ages 6-12 years old. Chris “Handles” Franklin of the Globetrotters, will teach the students to use the ABCs on a daily basis for the prevention of violence and bullying. Portions of the presentation are interactive between the students and “Handles,” as the children will have the chance to learn some of the Globetrotter ball handling techniques.
