Liam Neeson definitely looks like he's had work done. But why could't he wear a tux or at least something a bit more formal.
Ben Afleck couldn't bother to tighten his necktie.
Best director of a film goes to Gravity. The winner (Alfonso Cuaron) looks somewhat disheveled. And again, his necktie is loose. But he's funny and charming -- and then there's that great accent.
Uma Thurman: Whata figure! Knockout!
LEO! Leonardo DiCaprio wins the Golden Globe for The Wolf of Wall Street (best actor, comedy). He graciously acknowledges his fellow nominees. He says of Scorsese that he will "be regarded as one of the great artists of our time as the history of cinema unfolds." Great remarks.
AMERICAN HUSTLE wins best picture, comedy or musical. This certainly seems to be the year for this movie.
CAYE BLANCHETT wins for best actress/drama for Blue Jasmine. She gave a wonderful performance, even if the movie was a sorta ripoff of Streecar Named Desire.
Jessica Chastain looks lovely. She presents the award to Matthew McConaughey for Dallas Buyers Club, best actor/drama. It really was an absolutely definitive performance -- one of the great characterizations of the year. Matthew just seems so real. And well, he's a proud southerner. Need we say more. He's got out vote!
Johnny Depp. Well, there's no one else quite like him. He presents the award for the Big One - Best picture/drama: Twelve years A Slave. This is a HUGE surprise.
That's it.
Goodnight, everybody!
