Just two years after leaving the office of the presidency, John Quincy Adams was elected to the House of Representatives. And, after impeached President Andrew Johnson left the White House he was elected to the Senate from his native Tennessee.
Now, reports say that President Trump is planning to launch his own bid for Congress joining these former presidents in a truly historic move. Yes, Trump would launch his congressional bid in 2022 from his newly adopted home state of Florida. And since he's hugely popular there, he's eminently electable.
The thinking goes like this: Trump gets elected o the House in 2022 as the GOP sweeps back into power taking control of both the House and the Senate. Then, Nancy Pelosi is dethroned as Speaker of he House and Republicans elect Trump as the new Speaker, putting him second in line for the presidency. What follows is earth-shattering. The House moves to impeach both Biden and Harris for a variety of offenses including election fraud. The Senate follows through with convictions and by the rules of succession Trump becomes President of the United States once again. President Trump then moves to choose a new Vice President who would be easily confirmed and a second Trump administration is underway!
Get ready, America. Historic times ahead!
