On the air, MSNBC's Contessa Brewer told a conservative Congressman that without the bailout, the country would be in "a depression." Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama* said he disagreed. The Contessa didn't like that, which prompted her to ask him if he had a degree in economics.
"Yes ma'am, I do. Highest honors," Congressman. Brooks answered.
And indeed he does. And not some mail-order degree, either. Brooks graduated from Duke University in three years with a double major in political science and economics, with highest honors in economics. Then, he graduated from the University of Alabama Law School.
And The Contessa?
We'll grant her a degree in dim-wittiness.
*BTW: Ever notice how some liberal elites think that if you're from the South and/or have a southern accent (unless you're Bill Clinton) that automatically makes you dumb?
