Emphasizing the significant role the state’s highly educated workforce and improved business climate contribute to New Jersey’s technology-based businesses, Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno today visited AASKI Technology in Eatontown as part of her Fastest Growing Business Tour. Founded in 1997, AASKI Technology, which is headquartered in Ocean Township, provides professional services for planning, designing, implementing and managing highly complex, critical communication networks.
“The New Jersey Comeback is fueled by the sustained growth and job creation we are witnessing throughout our state in key industries like technology services. As a fast-growing, woman-owned company, AASKI Technology relies on New Jersey’s skilled workforce in order to succeed and grow,” said Lt. Governor Guadagno. “Our message is that New Jersey is highly educated and perfectly located for business success. We recognize the impact that lower taxes and prized talent have in helping companies like AASKI Technology excel competitively and grow rapidly to create more jobs for New Jersey residents.”
AASKI President Rina Parikh was recently selected as one of the 2011 Best 50 Women in Business by NJBIZ. Ms. Parikh garnered this recognition for leading the 130 person organization that she founded in 1997, which has averaged over a 50% percent annual revenue growth over the past 7 years, with AASKI’s customer and partner base increasing steadily over that time. Partnered with her on this quest is her husband, Mr. Bharat Parikh, Chief Operating Officer of AASKI. Both Rina and Bharat served as US Army civilian employees prior to starting and running AASKI Technology, which has helped them understand the best method to deliver services to the Department of Defense. In 2011, AASKI was also selected as number 1040 in the Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies in the USA. AASKI Technology has offices in Ocean and Eatontown, NJ along with Edgewood, MD and Springfield, VA.
“AASKI is a compilation of the most energetic and some of the brightest people I know, providing high value technical expertise to our customers and embracing our tag line: Mission Focused, Customer Centric,” said Mrs. Parikh. “Every day, we strive to make a difference in how technology solutions can help our Warfighter maintain a decisive edge in the battlefield and accomplish their mission. AASKI’s success is attributed directly to our employees, they are the foundation that delivers outstanding services and solutions to our customers.”
During the Christie Administration’s first two years, New Jersey added more than 89,700 new private sector jobs and attracted scores of companies. In fact, 2011 was the best private sector job growth year in New Jersey since 2000, according to Rutgers University economist Joseph Seneca.
The Christie-Guadagno Administration created the Partnership for Action to serve businesses of all sizes and development stages and provide access to a variety of resources to ensure their success. Led by Lt. Governor Guadagno, the Partnership For Action (PFA) supports the vital role business plays in advancing the state’s economy and creating jobs. The PFA is a three-pronged public-private approach to economic development and the starting point for all initiatives, policies, and efforts to grow New Jersey’s economy and create quality, sustainable jobs in our communities. The three elements of the PFA include the Business Action Center reporting directly to the Lt. Governor and providing the business community with a single point of contact, applying a proactive, customer-service approach to businesses’ interactions with State government; the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, serving as the state’s “bank for business;” and Choose New Jersey, an independently funded and operated 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation created to encourage and nurture economic growth throughout New Jersey.
Businesses considering a move or in need of assistance are encouraged to call New Jersey’s Business Action Center at (866) 534-7789 or visit the State’s Business Portal at www.newjerseybusiness.gov.
