And, BTW:
It was Republicans in the House and Senate who provided the key votes to
pass the civil rights acts of the 1960s.
The first woman to ever have
her name placed in nomination for President was a Republican
and it happened at a Republican convention.
And, the first
African-American US Senator to be elected since Reconstruction was a
Republican. And, it was a Republican president who nominated the first woman to
serve on the US Supreme Court.
And, a Republican president appointed the
first African-American to serve as Secretary of State and the first
African-American woman to serve in that position.
Alright?
Not that
we're counting, but facts are facts.
