Liacouras Center Named A Top National Venue

The Liacouras Center, the 10,000-seat multipurpose arena on the campus of Temple University, was recently named one of the “Top 200 Venues in Worldwide Ticket Sales” by Pollstar Magazine for 2013, according to the October 14 edition of Pollstar Magazine.

The Liacouras Center, which is home to Temple Owls' men's and women's basketball and hundreds of other annual events, ranked 162nd overall, drawing 41,858 patrons to non sporting events. Pollstar does not chart sales from sporting events.

The Liacouras Center is operated by Global Spectrum, the subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Comcast-Spectacor which manages more than 115 arenas and stadiums around the world.

Thirteen other Global Spectrum-managed arenas adorned the list, including Global Spectrum’s flagship arena, the Wells Fargo Center, which ranked third in the United States and 10th worldwide, welcoming 428,355 patrons to concerts and family shows for the year.
