Six More Democrat Officials Endorse Chris Christie

Bringing the total number of Democrat elected officials from across the state supporting his reelection to 58, Governor Christie has now been endorsed by Dover Mayor James Dodd and five Dover Aldermen, all of whom are Democrats. The five Dover Aldermen endorsing the Governor include Christine Noriega, Michael Picciallo, James Visioli, Robert Rutan, and Michelle Yzarnotegui.   The endorsement also marks the twentieth Democrat mayor to reach across the aisle and stand with the Governor. "Throughout his first term in office, Governor Christie has focused on delivering real results for the people of our state by bringing people together with real leadership. Here in Dover, we've experienced those results first hand, with property tax growth held at just 2% this year and nearly $1.8 million in funding for our schools over the past two years," said Dover Mayor James Dodd. "At the same time, Governor Christie has restored fiscal responsibility to our state and spurred economic growth, job creation, and opportunity for Dover families. We are proud to call Chris Christie our Governor and we are proud to stand with him in his campaign." Dover, which was carried by President Obama in 2012 by a 46 point margin and by former Governor Jon Corzine in 2009 by 19 points, is a diverse town with a nearly 70% Hispanic population.
