Here is a very special message from the Cardinal Newman Society:
Dear Friend,
Catholic institutions, especially those with a mission to teach, are called to be faithful witnesses in all that they do, including on social media.
Unfortunately, in the wake of the Supreme Court's marriage ruling, our reporters found that two well-known Catholic universities used social media not to promote a Catholic understanding of marriage, but for something else altogether.
In light of this, I want to take this moment to invite you, if you haven't already, to follow The Cardinal Newman Society on Twitter or like us on Facebook.
It's a great way to follow the latest in Catholic education as it happens and, unlike some Catholic colleges and universities, you know that it will always be grounded in fidelity.
We've got a great roundup of stories for you this week, including details on those controversial tweets, Abp. Chaput's defense of a Catholic school's right to expect its teachers to be witnesses for the faith, and so much more.
Thank you for being our partner in the fight to promote and defend faithful Catholic education!
In Christ,
Kelly Salomon
