Goya Foods, the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States, will donate 50,000 pounds of food to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Nutritional Development Services in honor of Pope Francis visit to the United States. The food donation will support a vast network of food cupboards throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The products will be delivered to the SHARE Food Program warehouse on:

A variety of non-perishables foods such as rice, beans and canned vegetables will be among the food donated by Goya Foods. Nutritional Development Services offers food and technical assistance to local organizations that serve adults, families and children in need through food cupboards, soup kitchens and shelters in the Philadelphia region. SHARE Food Program will also help with the food distribution.
The food donation is part of the Goya Gives campaign, a series of annual donations initiated in 2011 in celebration of Goya's 75th anniversary that serves to encourage others to participate in the message of helping those in need. Goya also made food donations to the Archdioceses of Washington and New York, the two other cities visited by Pope Francis in September.
