“This outrageous legislation could not come at a worse time. Giving large pay increases to the politically connected at a time when hardworking residents are coping with a billion dollar gas tax increase is unconscionable. How can this legislature justify giving huge raises to public employees who are already making six figure salaries while so many families struggle to make ends meet? Public service is service and salaries will generally not be on par with the private sector.
“On behalf of New Jersey taxpayers, I will continue to fight to defeat this harmful, misguided legislation. It is a shame that the Democrat-controlled legislature is once again trying to fast track legislation without giving the people they were elected to serve the time they need to make their opposition known. I urge everyone to join my fight by contacting their legislators to tell them to oppose this expensive proposal.”
