January 22, 2017 marks the 44nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal throughout the United States. Since that decision, more than 60 million children have lost their lives to abortion.
“9 Days for Life” is a novena with different intercessions, brief reflections and suggested acts of reparation that can be received directly each day by email, text message or through a mobile application for smartphones. It allows for a wide variety of ways for people of all ages and circumstances to participate. The novena of prayer also spans the March for Life where thousands of pilgrims from the Archdiocese will travel to Washington, DC, on January 27, 2017.
Note: For more information on the “9 Days for Life”, as well as options to receive the novena prayers by text message, email or mobile app, please visit the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) website at www.9daysforlife.com.
