Live blogging this morning from the Philadelphia Museum of Art where we are breakfasting with curators of the museum and hearing from CEO Timothy Rub about the museum's upcoming events and exhibitions.
In the midst of all these plans the museum in unveiling a spectacular new garden as well as reopening the Rodin Museum which will preview next week.
It's a very exciting time for the arts scene in Philadelphia and indeed, what will be happening here in Philadelphia will have a national and even international impact as this institution is one of the world's great treasures.
Timothy Rub is now talking about some of the museum's recent acquisitions including pieces by Monet, Capucci, Peale, Garber, Guston, Ellsworth Kelly and Ramirez.
What a joy it is to be here and hear about the enrichment of the arts scene.
BTW: The Rodin Museum will reopen on July 13. The restoration of the Rodin has progressed over a period of several years. You will not want to miss the Rodin Museum once it has reopened including a special version of Rodin's The Kiss which was especially commissioned for this museum.
