The students will focus on a presentation titled “Space Command”, which is directly related to this week’s camp academic theme of “Space”. Students will have the chance to explore an exhibit titled “Electricity”, which relates to academic sessions conducted at previous camps. The students are 13-14 years old and are part of the Snider Hockey recreational and travel hockey programs during the winter seasons.
The players will arrive by bus directly in front of the Franklin Institute, entering the building through the group entrance just to the left of the main entrance.
Philadelphia Flyers founder Ed Snider created Snider Hockey in 2005 as a personal commitment to teach children important life lessons. The mission of the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation is to build lives and unite communities. It uses the sport of hockey to help educate young people to succeed in the game of life. Snider Hockey services are targeted for inner-city boys and girls who otherwise would not have the opportunity to learn to skate or to play ice hockey. The program has rapidly grown to include over 3,000 students.
