Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford (Montgomery County), will host two separate presentations for students and parents delivered by the Narcotics Overdoes Prevention and Education (NOPE) Task Force of Montgomery County.
Information about this special program was sent home to Pope John Paul II parents through the school newsletter and SchoolMessenger broadcasts during the month of January.

The assembly for students will be followed by an evening session on Thursday, February 25th for parents at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Stephanie Rowland, Pope John Paul II High School Assistant Principal for Students Services coordinated both programs with Ms. Kaitlyn Genthert from Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems.
According to the NOPE Montgomery County Chapter, NOPE is a national organization that educates students in middle schools, high schools, and colleges about the consequences of drug consumption. A network of community leaders goes into Montgomery County’s schools to deliver personal and blunt presentations, during which police officers explain the grim task of making death notifications to distraught families. Parents who have lost children to drugs also share their personal storie
