Why A 'Glorious Invalid' Is Far From Dead

Here they go again . . .
Big media have latched onto a familiar theme. They say the Republican Party is dead.
Don't believe them!
The rumors of the death of the Republican Party are greatly exaggerated -- and always have been. Indeed, the GOP has been declared dead time and time again, only to reemerge and retake power.
The Republican Party is a glorious invalid with a tenacious disposition and a keen sense of survival.
After FDR took office in 1933 only 25 of the 100 members of the US Senate were Republican but by 1946 the Republicans had recaptured Congress and in 1952 they set in motion a new era of GOP rule: Ike, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush and W. Bush. That's 36 years of GOP dominance after the party had already been declared "dead."
So, put in perspective, this business about the demise of the GOP is just so much nonsense. In fact, since President Obama took office it's the Democrats who are dying. The Democrats have lost 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats, 910 state legislative seats, 30 state legislatures and 11 governorships. The young, new, fresh talent (and the real diversity) are all in the GOP. The Republican Party is the center of vibrant ideas and lively debate. In the current round of primaries thousands of voters are migrating from the Democrat Party to the GOP and people who've never voted before are registering to vote Republican.

Meanwhile, the numbers of Democrats are down and the Democrats are stuck with old white people: Biden, Sanders and Hillary. Combined age: 215.
So, you see -- this business about the Republican Party dying is a myth created by wishful liberals and an all-too-complicit media.
Oh yeah -- One more thing: Over he past 60 years, only one party has ever won three successive terms in the White House -- and it ain't the Democrats.
