When asked what Americans might do to heal the racial divide in our nation, the esteemed actor Morgan Freeman once answered in four words: "Stop talking about it."
It does make a lot of sense, doesn't it?
In the purest meaning of the term, if we were really colorblind then the subject of race would never come up. It would never be mentioned. And one's race would never be a factor.
But it hasn't worked out that way, has it?
