The concert series will open with the Minneapolis-based group Cantus, offering choral repertoire extending from classics by Schubert and Strauss to modern luminaries including Eric Whitacre in a program titled Discovery of Sight.

This spring, Concerts at the Cathedral Basilica presents a major event bringing together two important institutions – Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia and Symphony in C – to perform Beethoven’s epic Symphony No. 9, complete with full orchestra, large chorus, and vocal soloists.
For the first time, the concert series welcomes the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale. The Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated group will present a wide-ranging program mixing spiritual reflections and a celebration of Americana as they conclude the concert season.
