The Philadelphia Bar Association's Chancellor's Reception is always one of the highlights of Philadelphia's winter social season and this year was no exception.
Hundreds of Philadelphia lawyers, judges, business, civic and community leaders jammed the Ballroom at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue last night to welcome Moorestown's own Scott F. Cooper as the new Chancellor of the 13,000-member bar association.
We are particularly delighted to herald Scott, a partner at Blank Rome, not just because he's one of the nicest guys we know but also because he's a South Jersey resident and we haven't been able to say that about a Philadelphia Bar Association Chancellor for a long, long time. And, like us, Scott is a Big Fan of New Jersey Governor-Elect, Chris Christie. So now you know that Scott is a Very Smart Citizen.
We saw so many friends at this big, gala event including the Bar Association's Executive Director Ken Shear, Susie Shear, the Association's new Associate Executive Director Mark Tarasiewicz, Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Ron Castille, Philly GOP honcho Vito Canuso, former Bar Chancellors Cliff Haines, Larry Beaser and Abe Reich, Vice Chancellor John Savoth, Judge Annette Rizzo, Sally Berlin, Bonnie Squires, Marcia Halbert, Judge Eduardo C. Rubreno, Hugh Dillon, Michael Viola, Lisette Bralow, Nan Sato, Many Pokitilow, Gina Furia Rubel, Lynn Marks and all of those pictured above.
Congratulations to the Association's Director of Meetings and Special Events Tracey McCloskey who oversaw this spectacular event. The food, the drink, the friends and the ambiance -- all superb!
This was the perfect warmer-upper for a ch-ch-chilly night,
