This event will feature the pieces Mary, Therese of Lisieux, and Damien Molokai at the Holy Mass; The Sacred Heart; and The Sacrifice of the Holy Mass. The final work is a triptych altar piece. Prints are available for a donation. Each piece was inspired by Fra Angelico, a late Dominican friar and priest.
About Fra Angelico
Fra Giovanni de Fiesole was an Italian artist in the early 1400s whose paintings depict the depths of the mysteries of the life, passion, death, and resurrection of Christ. Fra Angelico was beatified by Saint John Paul II in 1982 and later declared the patron of artists. Some of his work, such as Dormition of the Virgin and Saint Francis of Assisi, can be found at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
