Gannett New Jersey Senior Political Columnist Bob Ingle (who is co-author of the book, The Soprano State) has some choice comments about the wormy campaign of Democrat Congressman John Adler in South Jersey. On his blog, Politics Patrol, Ingle says: "It’s an unwritten rule of politics that children are kept out of political campaigns unless they’re adult and interject themselves. That’s why it is disturbing to hear GOP congressional candidate Jon Runyan report a Democratic volunteer for John Adler trespassed on his property and took photos while Runyan’s 8-year-old daughter played in the yard and was scared enough to run to her mother."
Ingle doesn't hesitate to call Adler out for "playing dirty" and says Adler "should be ashamed of himself."
And then Ingle asks: "Will Adler, a long-time cog in the Boss George Norcross Camden County Democratic machine, do anything to get elected? "
Ever the fine reporter, Bob Ingle certainly knows how to pose a pertinent question.
It's a question we're all asking.
But don't expect an answer from Adler anytime soon.
