Jobless Claims, Figures Grim, Worst Since 1930s

Obamanomics has failed: After three years with unemployment topping 8 percent, the U.S. has seen the longest period of high unemployment since the Great Depression, the Congressional Budget Office noted in a report issued today. . . . the CBO is still predicting that unemployment will remain above 8 percent until 2014.
The report also notes that, including those who haven't sought work in the past four weeks and those who are working part-time but seeking full-time employment, the unemployment rate would be 15 percent.

Yes indeed, those 23 months of net job gains following the reversal of the mind blowing crash sure is a failure.

Let's keep those unfunded tax cuts for the rich going, since they worked oh so well last time.

He's the one who set the bar and the standard. And he hasn't come anywhere near to achieving it. These are the figures during HIS watch. He's failed.

And yet his approval rating has climbed, while the GOP-controlled House has sunk to...what is it...10 percent now?

We'd all rather be at a lower unemployement rate. But new jobless claims have hit a four year low, and after the biggest crash in two generations, simply stopping the bleeding and beginning a recovery is a win. The rest of this "he said" stuff is somewhere between simplistic, desperate and ignorant. Every President of both persuasions has made promises unmet, in one or two terms. Anyone who thinks Willard will deliver everything he talks about is delusional, too. (How many Presidents promised us the end of reliance on foreign oil?)

Stocks are at multi-year highs, jobs are up for nearly two years. Housing starts are showing better trends. We're out of Iraq and the budget-busting, unfunded war. Serious cuts are being made in a bloated defense budget.

Facts can be pesky things, indeed.

He set the standard.
He said that if if didn;t have the job done within three years then he should face a "one term proposition." He didn't get it done.
He made it worse,
He deserves to be measured by his own standard. That's fair.
He failed.
Stop making excuses for him. It's sad and it does him no good.
