Thirty-two percent (32%) now Strongly Disapprove of the President’s performance, the highest level of disapproval measured to date. The rising negative is driven by Republicans, 58% of who Strongly Disapprove of Obama’s performance. Since Inauguration Day, Republican opposition has doubled.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. Overall, 56% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance so far while 43% disapprove.

Note: Obama's total disaproval rating is creeping closer and closer to the critical 50% mark while his approval rating is falling lower and lower. This is not a good sign as we reach the midpoint of Obama's first 100 days.
