They Simply Don't Want To Talk About It!
As they begin on a joint statewide bus tour, repeated sanctuary city supporters Gov. Tom Wolf and Sen. Bob Casey have yet to address how the United States should handle the caravan of thousands of illegal immigrants heading to the United States.
In fact, Tom Wolf has already said he will not send Pennsylvania National Guard troops to the southern border to protect U.S. citizens and help with border security and has not supported legislation to crack down on dangerous sanctuary cities.
Bob Casey has also voted several times to protect sanctuary cities, that choose to harbor illegal aliens accused of crimes rather than report them to federal immigration authorities.
Given these positions, it is incumbent for them to asked where they stand on how the illegal immigrant caravan should be handled and what they will do to ensure the United States remains a country of that respects the rule of law.
In addition, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Communications Director Jason Gottesman, made the following statement:

In This Case, The Apple Fell Far From The Tree!
When it comes to standing up for moderate values and against an increasingly radical Democratic Party, Sen. Bob Casey stands in stark contrast to his father—the namesake who helped pave his son’s way into elected office.
Time and again, Bob Casey Sr.—especially as it relates to the issue of abortion—was not afraid to stand up in opposition to Democratic Party bosses, even to the point where he was turned down for an opportunity to give a speech at the 1992 Democratic National Convention over his stance on the issue and the fear that his “fundamental difference” with party bosses on the issue would create a narrative of disunity in the Democratic Party.
Such a split led the senior Bob Casey to openly ask in his memoir: “What had become of the Democratic Party I once knew?’' He also commented, in opposition to party bosses, "Voters are not as impressed as reporters by 'scions' and the like, least of all the voters of a working class state like Pennsylvania.”
Bob Casey Sr.’s pro-life stance was unequivocal, stating in a debate that he would sign a bill banning abortion should Roe v. Wade be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Bob Casey Jr. is a much different person from his namesake - a namesake that has given him a decided advantage in his political ambitions and leaves the uninformed with the impression that he represents his father’s values.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
When it comes to being pro-life and/or standing up for moderate values, Bob Casey Jr. has seemingly gone out of his way to side with the increasingly left-leaning Democratic leadership, has refused to hold party bosses accountable for the socialist tilt of his Party, and become a leading obstructionist in the U.S. Senate.
In fairness, Bob Casey Jr. has not necessarily shied away from being contrasted with his late father, noting in a 2016 article in The Washington Post that he does not know how his father would feel about his evolving stance on social issues.
That said, the Casey brand does not seem to have given Pennsylvania’s senior Senator pause in turning to his left.
When it comes to abortion, Bob Casey Jr.’s change from being first elected as a pro-life Democrat to being a pro-choice liberal has been well-documented.
In a recent story in Politico, it was noted that Bob Casey’s record as a pro-life Democrat doesn’t add up.
“Sen. Bob Casey calls himself a pro-life Democrat,” the piece leads off. “But his voting record paints a different picture.”
Sen. Casey has protected the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, and was even given a 100 percent rating by NARAL Pro-Choice in 2016 and 2017.
When it comes to defending the Second Amendment, Bob Casey has also turned to the liberal left of his party, being called an “evangelist for gun control.”
Similarly, on immigration, Bob Casey has repeatedly sided with pro-sanctuary city policies and organizations, despite 80 percent of Americans being opposed to sanctuary cities and while Philadelphia’s refusal to comply with ICE detainers led to a rape of a young girl by an illegal alien who should have been deported.
In addition, his leftward move on health care is a slippery slope toward socialized medicine that puts bureaucracy over patient care.
Philadelphia Magazine in a profile of Sen. Casey, outlined his change in positions from being a moderate Senator to a do-nothing “Obama loyalist.”
"In fact, his dozen years in the Senate haven’t yielded a great deal — for most of his tenure, he’s been a quiet Obama loyalist, especially on Obamacare,” the profile reads.
“What’s more, the federal government has generally been a mess of inaction for some time now, and Casey might be vulnerable because of the Democrats’ role in that; over the past few years, he has moved left on gun control and gay marriage and immigration, and as he seeks reelection this fall, it won’t be hard for Republicans to paint him as another liberal whose obsession with social issues has left working-class America out in the cold.”
And so he has.
What a difference the same name can make.

Whether it is voting against legislation to crack down on sanctuary cities or campaigning and fundraising with pro-sanctuary city organization “Protect and Elect,” Bob Casey’s record on sanctuary cities and illegal immigration is the latest indication of Bob Casey’s leftward leap and his desire to cater to the socialist left than provide for the safety of Pennsylvania’s families.

Pennsylvania Republicans and health care professionals Friday expressed concern over U.S. Senator Bob Casey’s healthcare record, arguing his support for Medicaid expansion and Obamacare is a slippery slope toward socialized medicine.
“Bob Casey’s record on healthcare and his silence on the increasingly socialist movement of his Party’s stance on the issue should give Pennsylvanians pause as they consider who to vote for in November,” said Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Val DiGiorgio.

Congressman Lou Barletta, who is opposing Sen. Casey in the November General Election, has voted to support repealing Obamacare while also working to support protections for those with pre-existing conditions.
He has also support pro-growth policies like the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which Bob Casey has continually obstructed.
“Bob Casey has left moderate Pennsylvanians behind with his support for Obamacare and his opposition and obstruction when it comes to putting more money in the pockets of average Pennsylvania families. He may represent the liberal views of Massachusetts or California, but he is a disaster for the people of Pennsylvania,” said Luzerne County Republican Committee Chairman Ron Ferrance.
“We need Lou Barletta in the U.S. Senate so we can be assured of having someone that will support policies that will keep this economy moving, respect taxpayer dollars, and stop the growth of socialized medicine.”
Frank Polidora, a Hazleton-based retired Orthopedic surgeon, argued that socialized medicine would be a disaster for the people of Pennsylvania.
“The people I treated over my career were left behind by government run healthcare programs that limit access to care and provide physicians with little flexibility in treating their patients. Bob Casey has had two terms to help fix the system, but under his watch, it has only gotten worse.
“Creating additional bureaucracy through socialized medicine would not only be a taxpayer burden, but would be a catastrophe for patients across the commonwealth and the United States.”

Defying The Law; Standing With Violent Criminals
Last week, the City of Philadelphia and Mayor Jim Kenney made the decision to terminate a data-sharing contract with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
This is the latest in the city’s turn toward lawlessness as it seeks to further enact sanctuary city policies. Also, by their silence and past actions, it is the latest indication that Pennsylvania’s Democratic leaders continue to support sanctuary city policies and the move toward ending the rule of law when it comes to immigration.

Monday night, President Donald Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh, a Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, to be an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States.

Has It Really Now Gotten THIS Bad? Has It?

The Democratic Party charade on abortion is finally over.
Newly-elected Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has declared that every Democrat must be 100% pro-abortion. And according to an official statement: “that is not negotiable.”
What does this mean?
Tolerance, diversity, and ‘choice’ be damned. Every Democrat must now support the party platform which includes abortion on demand, for any reason, during any month of pregnancy, up to and including partial-birth abortion. And of course, taxpayers must pay for it.
The game is up: Fall in line, or get out.
The Democratic Party has told Catholics who believe in the sanctity of life that they are no longer welcome inside their party. Sure, they’ll take your votes. But when it comes to Catholics and our belief in the dignity of unborn children and the rights of mothers -- get lost!
But did you know that 23% of Democrats are pro-life?
Democratic candidates that claim to be pro-life now face a dilemma. Will they challenge their own party leadership? Or will they wimp out, and continue to take millions of dollars from Planned Parenthood and the DNC, and hope to fool voters once again?
Senators Bob Casey Jr. (D-PA), Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Joe Donnelly (D-IN), all face re-election next year. All three ran as ‘pro-life Democrats’ despite their mixed records.
Will they campaign with their party’s chairman?
Will they use DNC staff, and take campaign money from the national party?
And if so, what will they owe Chairman Perez?
If you are a Democrat, you can disagree with your party on health care, religious liberty, taxes, climate change… you name it. But if you are not 100% on board with abortion, then you are dead to them.
It’s tragic. And I wish it wasn’t so.
In some ways the clarity is refreshing. We've endured the phony double-speak long enough.
Now it’s up to us to call them out. Shame them for their intolerance.
And make sure every Catholic voter knows the truth.

Tea Party Touts Successes, Asks Continued Vigilance
From the Philadelphia region's Independence Hall Tea Party Association:
Along with the recent Federal court ruling against ObamaCare, this is a fantastic Tea Party victory!
And while 85% of those who responded to yesterday's survey legitimately disapproved of the compromise tax bill that passed the U.S. House late last night, one has to appreciate the fact that, prior to the election, such a bill would have never contained an extension of the entire Bush tax cuts, new payroll tax deductions, and additional business tax breaks had it not been for Tea Party successes in November.
We must, however, continue our vigilance over the 111th Congress as it enters its final days!
Today and tomorrow, the U.S. Senate will consider three major pieces of legislation: the New START; the Dream Act; and Don't Ask, Don't Tell.
There is absolutely no reason why any of these issues should be decided in the lame duck session. That message, at the very least, is one you might convey to your Senators.
While the Tea Party has not generally taken a position on Don't Ask, Don't Tell, it has staked out a clear policy of support for our nation's security.
The New START, if ratified by the Senate, could, among other travesties, inhibit our country's ability to produce and deploy missile defense systems--thereby denying us full rights to shield ourselves and our allies from possible nuclear attack.

The usual suspects, Republicans Richard Lugar (Ind.), Olympia Snowe (Maine), and Susan Collins (Maine), have endorsed the New Start.
At least eight other Republicans, including Bob Bennett (Utah), Lindsay Graham (S.C.),
Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), George Voinovich (Ohio), Bob Corker (Tenn.), Johnny Isakson (Ga.), John McCain (Ariz.) and Scott Brown (Mass.) are sitting on the fence.
For Senate ratification of treaties, 67 votes are required. The vote is expected to be close.
The other major lame duck worry, known as the Dream Act, could be voted on as early as tomorrow. A back door path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, the Dream Act would grant amnesty to as many as two million young aliens (up to age 30)--provided they stay in school or enroll in American institutions of higher learning at a considerable cost to US taxpayers.
What Dream Act advocates aren't saying is this: Once the "young [illegal] immigrants" gain citizenship, they will be able to sponsor their parents and other relatives--many of whom are also illegal immigrants--thereby providing amnesty to millions more.

Please call your U.S. Senators and those previously mentioned. Tell them to stop the New START and end the Dream Act nightmare.

What a difference an election makes!
By now, most of you are aware that the Democrats have caved on the ludicrous $1.2 trillion Omnibus Spending Bill. A Continuing Resolution will be implemented until the newly elected 112 th Congress takes up the budget issue in January. Along with the recent Federal court ruling against ObamaCare, this is a fantastic Tea Party victory!
And while 85% of those who responded to yesterday's survey legitimately disapproved of the compromise tax bill that passed the U.S. House late last night, one has to appreciate the fact that, prior to the election, such a bill would have never contained an extension of the entire Bush tax cuts, new payroll tax deductions, and additional business tax breaks had it not been for Tea Party successes in November.
We must, however, continue our vigilance over the 111th Congress as it enters its final days!
Today and tomorrow, the U.S. Senate will consider three major pieces of legislation: the New START; the Dream Act; and Don't Ask, Don't Tell.
There is absolutely no reason why any of these issues should be decided in the lame duck session. That message, at the very least, is one you might convey to your Senators.
While the Tea Party has not generally taken a position on Don't Ask, Don't Tell, it has staked out a clear policy of support for our nation's security.
The New START, if ratified by the Senate, could, among other travesties, inhibit our country's ability to produce and deploy missile defense systems--thereby denying us full rights to shield ourselves and our allies from possible nuclear attack.

Gerlach: Obamacare Bad For PA
Republican Jim Gerlach on Wednesday sent letters to Gov. Ed Rendell and the Commonwealth’s two senators, Robert P. Casey Jr. and Arlen Specter, urging them to stand up for Pennsylvania's families and businesses by opposing the health care bill Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is frantically pushing to a vote on Christmas Eve.
“This bill is bad for Pennsylvania," Gerlach said. "That's why I made one last appeal for commonsense to prevail and for the governor and our two senators to put Pennsylvania's interests ahead of partisanship. Majority Leader Reid spent this past weekend cutting deals to benefit Nebraska and other states at Pennsylvania’s expense. If enacted, this legislation would lead to higher taxes or significant cuts to services for Pennsylvania residents. The governor needs to speak out and our senators should not be rubber stamps for Harry Reid's severely flawed bill.”

I am writing to urge you to oppose the U.S. Senate health care bill due to the huge burden it would place on Pennsylvania families and employers and the fiscal peril it poses to the Commonwealth’s already-strained budget.
Chief among my concerns is the federal Medicaid mandates contained in Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid’s 2,000-plus pages that call for expanding Medicaid to 133 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. The National Conference of State Legislators has estimated that this expansion would increase state Medicaid spending in Pennsylvania by approximately $2.2 billion over the next 10 years.
Asking Pennsylvania families and employers struggling to shoulder this huge, unfunded federal mandate would be bad enough in the midst of one of our nation’s greatest economic recessions. But to make matters worse, the Senate bill would force taxpayers in
Pennsylvania to underwrite an estimated $1.2 billion Medicaid bailout for Nebraska, Vermont and Massachusetts. This is an incredibly bad deal for Pennsylvanians who will either pay higher taxes or possibly see important state services significantly reduced.
In addition to the unfunded Medicaid mandate, the Senate bill would include a $2 billion per year tax on our Commonwealth’s thriving biotechnology and medical device manufacturing industries. Pennsylvania has approximately 600 medical device manufactures that employ roughly 20,000 people in jobs that often pay more than $50,000 per year. Executives at these companies have been very clear that this tax would hamper their ability to hire new workers and siphon money away from life-saving research and product development.
It is extremely disappointing that the Senate bill is laced with sweetheart deals and certainly appears aimed more toward scoring political points than making insurance affordable or improving the quality of health care in our Commonwealth. That’s why I am respectfully request that you oppose this severely-flawed legislation.

Is Casey On Thin Ice?

The bishop of an eastern Pennsylvania diocese is criticizing a local Catholic college's decision to have U.S. Sen. Bob Casey speak at its graduation ceremony later this month, accusing him of siding with abortion rights forces recently.
Bishop Joseph Martino of the Scranton diocese called the choice of Casey, D-Pa., to speak at the May 17 commencement at King's College in Wilkes-Barre "an affront to all who value the sanctity of life."
Martino said in a statement late Friday that Casey's vote to confirm Kathleen Sebelius as Secretary of Health and Human Services despite her abortion rights stance showed that Casey was "a reliable vote for President Barack Obama's aggressive pro-abortion agenda." He said Casey lacked "the moral stature" to address graduates about the challenges they will face.
Casey opposes abortion and has said he favors overturning the Supreme Court's 1973 ruling guaranteeing abortion rights. Martino acknowledged that the college invited him long before he voted to confirm Sebelius and against reversing Obama's decision to end a ban on the use of federal funds for groups overseas that provide abortions or abortion information. "
Now, however, it is truly unfortunate that this Catholic institution will be seen as providing a forum for a politician who is steadily distancing himself from pro-life principles," he said.
Casey spokesman Larry Smar said the senator believed it would be irresponsible to leave the health position vacant. "
He disagrees with her on abortion, but feels that she has the required expertise to help pass health care reform and provide health care to the uninsured , one of our country's top priorities," Smar said. He also said Casey has been criticized by his own party for his anti-abortion position. King's spokesman John McAndrew said the school would have no comment.
At the time the school invited him to speak, the college's president, the Rev. Thomas J. O'Hara, praised the Casey family, calling them "a shining example of a family of faith who have dedicated their lives to public service."
After the Senate's confirmation of Sebelius on April 29, the bishop hinted that he might one day deny communion to Casey. "
If necessary, future determinations will be made regarding whether Sen. Casey is worthy to receive Holy Communion," a statement from the Diocese said.
