Italian American Heritage Month: Kaylub Giamanco

Amidst Bloodhsed, A True Hero Steps Forward!

AMAZING!

It's being reported that President Trump gave a BIG shoutout to armed hero Kaylub Giamanco who ran into an Oregon school and NEUTRALIZED a shooter. Well, let's say it bluntly: he shot him dead, preventing the loss of additional lives amidst a massacre.

Apparently Giamanco was nearby, had a concealed carry permit, ran into the school and did what he knew he had to do.

President Trump rightly called this local carpenter, the father of two girls who are students at the school, a hero!

"Thank GOODNESS for a man that had a gun and knew how to use it." "There was a great hero, and as bad as it was, we had a GREAT HERO that went in and did the business . . . He took care of business."

Bottom line: Kaylub Giamanco may look like the guy next door, but FAFO!

PS: Does this qualify as toxic masculinity? What say you, liberals?

How In The Hell Did THIS Ever Happen?

When Giants wide receiver Phil McConkey picked up a gun from the field after winning the 1987 Super Bowl

And Now, About That 'Right To Carry' . . .

From an attorney friend of ours, as posted on facebook:

You have a right to carry a gun to a protest. If you are struggling with a police officer, or officers, and you are armed, legally or not, you have created a potentially dangerous situation for yourself and the officers. You do NOT have the right to carry a weapon and resist arrest, or otherwise obstruct law enforcement, and expect that law enforcement can read your mind during the struggle, as you're flailing about. Even if you are licensed to carry, carrying can be illegal if your purpose for carrying is illegal. That's not "unlawful possession of a weapon," true, but it is "possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose."
This is why, by the way, those of us who are licensed to carry are required to alert law enforcement that we are carrying if we interact with them. That's the first thing we do if we are pulled over: "Good afternoon officer. I need to make you aware that I am licensed to carry and I am carrying a firearm." How hard is that?
I had a situation the other day where an officer was approaching a driver on a routine motor vehicle stop, and like an idiot the driver unholstered his pistol to place it in the glove box just as the cop was approaching the window, and the officer had to make a split second decision whether or not to defend himself. Thankfully, in that split second the driver relented, but that was seriously very close to a bad situation.
The point of me telling that is to reiterate that a gun is a responsibility. Even when you legally own and carry it, you do not have the right to do so in a way that creates a dangerous situation for those around you.

Bucco: Political Violence Now 'Far Too Common'

New Jersey State Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) released the following statement on the assassination of Charlie Kirk:

"First and foremost, my heart goes out to Charlie Kirk’s wife and children, who today lost a husband and a father. This kind of political violence has no place in our society and tragically, it’s becoming far too common.

We must start seeing one another as human beings, not simply as political opponents, or as people on the right or left. We are better than this as a nation.

As leaders, we have a responsibility to tone down the rhetoric and to encourage others to do the same. It’s time to lead with compassion, not division."

Ciattarelli: Kirk Was 'Brilliant, Humble, Faithful'

"I am deeply saddened to learn that Charlie Kirk has passed away. Our hearts go out to his wife, young children and loved ones.

'When discourse ends, violence begins.' That was Charlie Kirk at his brilliant, humble and faithful best. We will miss him. To honor his memory, let us strengthen our resolve to overcome ingrained and widespread hate."

-Jack Ciattarelli, NJ Republican candidate for Governor

Here's What We Know About The Shooter So Far

Just to bring everyone up to date, here's what we know, via news reports, about the sicko Minneapolis school shooter, Robert/Robin Westman:

  • As a child, he attended the Annunciation School that he shot up and his mother worked there during the same time as a secretary.
  • Westman was trans. He applied to change his birth name from Robert to Robin in Dakota County, Minn., when he was 17 years old, under the legal age, according to court documents. His mother had to sign for him to make the change at the time. She signed, and that name change was granted in January 2020.
  • Minnesota has very liberal policies regarding such gender switches and the state's public officials have declared Minnesota a "trans sanctuary state."
  • He was armed with a rifle, a shotgun and a handgun. All three were legally purchased even though blue/liberal Minnesota has some of the toughest gun control laws in the nation.
  • Westman had "kill Donald Trump" written on one of gun magazines.
  • His alleged manifesto had a transgender flag with a rifle that reads: “Defend Equality.”
  • Westman’s videos, posted hours before the shootings, also show the phrase “for the children” scrawled on gun magazines.
  • In another entry in his Journal, he wrote: “If I carry out a racially motivated attack, it would be most likely against filthy Zionist jews,” before calling Jewish people “entitled” and “penny-sniffing” and adding “FREE PALESTINE!”
  • “I hate fascism,” read yet another page.
  • Westman criticized the news media, writing: "I like to hear when Israelis get killed, but they don’t like to report on that stuff.”
  • The killer was not previously known to law enforcement, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told reporters at a press conference. Westman wrote: “I need to get my thoughts out without getting on a watchlist haha!”
  • He expressed sincere admiration for mass shooters — including Sandy Hook School killer Adam Lanza.
  • Just hours before the cowardly massacre, Westman, 23, posted a series of twisted videos on YouTube, which included the manifesto.

Poll: It's Not Guns; It's A Mental Health Crisis

In the aftermath of last week’s shooting at a Christian school in Nashville, a plurality of voters see mental health as the primary cause of such incidents.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 42% of likely U.S. voters believe mental health is more to blame for mass shootings in America, while 29% blame access to firearms. Another 11% say social media is more to blame for mass shootings, while seven percent (7%) blame school problems and six percent (6%) think family problems are more to blame.

These findings are only slightly changed from March 2022. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
