From our dear friends at the Save Jersey Blog:
By Scott St. Clair | The Save Jersey Blog
If Barack Obama had been president on December 7, 1941 instead of Franklin Roosevelt, how would he have responded?Would he have called the attack on Pearl Harbor “a setback”? Would he have bragged that Japan was a JV team compared to Germany and that it was “contained” prior to the attack?
Would he have engaged in an air campaign with rules of engagement so restrictive that 80 percent of sorties would return without releasing their ordnance? Would he have refused to commit ground troops to the struggle?
Would he have insisted that his attorney general threaten Americans who might engage in anti-Japanese rhetoric? Would he have sought to disarm Americans who feared, with good reason since it happened in Alaska, the Pacific islands and the Philippines, that their lives and homes were threatened?
Would he have been blasé and non-committal about the attack because he had bigger fish to fry in the form of climate change, the only REAL threat to American national security?
What do you think?
