Here's The Schedule You're Looking For!

Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. will be the main celebrant and homilist at the Midnight Mass on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, 2017.

The Holy Day of Christmas is a most special occasion for Catholics in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as we celebrate the Birth of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. All are welcome to celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord at the mother church of the Archdiocese, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

- Christmas Eve Masses will be celebrated in the Cathedral Basilica at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Music for the 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Mass will be provided by the Cathedral Schola and Instruments.

-Mass will also be celebrated at 9:30 p.m. in Spanish. Music for this Mass will be provided by a cantor and an organist.

- Beginning at 11:00 p.m. – Cathedral Basilica Choir and Instruments will provide the Choral Prelude to the Midnight Mass with sacred music and carols.

Monday, December 25, 2017

-12:00 a.m. - Solemn Midnight Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. with music provided by the Cathedral Basilica Choir and Instruments. The Midnight Mass will be streamed live on Archbishop Chaput’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/archbishopchaput beginning at 12:00 a.m. (EDT).

-10:00 a.m. - Solemn Mass with music provided by the Cathedral Basilica Choir and Instruments.

Additional Christmas Day Masses will be celebrated in the Cathedral Basilica at 8:00 a.m. with music provided by a cantor and an organist and 12:00 Noon Solemn Mass with the Cathedral Schola and Instruments.

About Dan Cirucci

Cirucci served as Associate Executive Director of the Philadelphia Bar Association for nearly 30 years. He served as Chair of Penn State University's Professional Advisory Board for the Corporate Communication major at Penn State Abington and on the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Judicial Selection Commission.

He received his MA degree from Rowan University and his BA from Villanova University. He has been named a Distinguished Alumnus of Rowan's public relations program and received the E. A. "Wally" Richter Leadership Award, the highest honor from the National Association of Bar Executives' Communications Section. He has also been honored by numerous other local, state and national groups.

In his hometown of Camden, Cirucci taught fifth grade at the Ulysses Wiggins Elementary School named for the founder of the Camden NAACP. There he was one of the first teachers in the country to teach African-American history to inner city students. He later served as editor of a local weekly newspaper, as Assistant to the Township Manager of Cherry Hill Township and as Associate Director of Communications at the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Cirucci's passions include politics, the popular culture, books and authors, art, communication, music, theatre, movies, dining and travel.
