The fight over the border wall continues…
But it’s not the only thing.
Yesterday, Nancy Pelosi took control of the House of Representatives and immediately passed a budget proposal filled with handouts to the abortion industry. Yeah... no money for the border wall. But authorization for taxpayer funds for abortions!
It’s simply outrageous.
Here are two major problems with this Democratic budget:
- It restores funding for the UN Population Fund. (President Trump cut off funding to the agency because it worked with China to force women into aborting their children.)
- It undermines President Trump’s pro-life Mexico City policywhich ensures taxpayers don’t subsidize international organizations that perform or refer for abortions.
Thankfully, the White House issued a statement opposing the Democratic budget -- not just over the border wall -- but also for trying to weaken the President’s pro-life policies. The White House statement said: “The bill would also undermine the President’s Mexico City policy (Presidential Memorandum of January 23, 2017), which prohibits the funding of foreign nongovernmental organizations that promote or perform abortions.”
In an official Statement of Administration Policy, the White House stated: “The Administration opposes passage of H.R. 21” and that “his advisors would recommend that he veto the bill.”
That's pro-life leadership!
Of course, the Republican Senate will never pass this budget -- especially with great new pro-life senators like Josh Hawley (MO), Mike Braun (IN), Kevin Cramer (ND), and Marsha Blackburn (TN) sworn in this week -- all Senators YOU helped elect.
The same Democrats who decried children being detained at the border just voted to use taxpayer funding to kill thousands of children before they even have a chance to cross the “border” of their own mothers womb!
And many of these Democrats claim to be Catholic. Including Pelosi. Shame on them.
I’ve sent word to the White House.
On behalf of Catholic voters: “Thank you, President Trump.”
