Politico leads with a headline: "Republican hopes fade as Warnock momentum picks up in Georgia." It's a fait accompli. Or so it would seem.
But, wait. When you read well into the story, you find this: "Both parties are expecting a close outcome on Tuesday." And this: "a Walker victory is not out of the question." And also, this: "Warnock heads into Election Day as at least a slight favorite."
Close election, could go either way, Warnock as only a "slight favorite".
But Politico pushes the story in one direction, advancing the notion that the GOP is on the run and Warnock has all the mo. And Drudge leads with it as well.
It's the Big Spin -- a relentless con job. This is the environment that we're faced with. It's destructive Groupthink and just this side of government-controlled media.
