Summer Tough For Goths

From Flash News:
It’s hard out there for a goth kid – particularly in the summertime.
Summer is the worst time of year for goths according to Tom Lenham, who writes the blog GothsInHotWeather.com, which features photos of darkly dressed goth kids melting away under the sun.
Their black duds, long leather trench coats, and caked on makeup make staying cool virtually impossible, but it gives them major points with other raven-souled individuals.
He says, “Heat helps aid their suffering, which is good for their poetry.”
Lenham, a former goth himself, recalls how sweaty and hot he’d feel on summer days in his black threads but admits that seeing darkly dressed goths at the beach now is “fþcking funny” to him.
Having been there himself, he recommends that goth kids stay in shaded areas because “even a hint of a tan will get you ostracized,” drink lots of water, and never remove their jacket because it’ll expose their sweat stains.
