Video: Gal In Mall Fountain Fall May Sue!
Cathy Cruz Marrero -- the girl who fell into the mall fountain while texting -- is mortified and says she may sue mall security for failing to check on her and see if she was OK.
Marreo reportedly remembers her foot striking the base of the fountain as she held her purse and clutched the cell phone she'd been using to text.
Then she plunged into the Berkshire Mall fountain near Reading, PA.
Since then, the fall (caught by security cameras) has been posted on You Tube where it has been viewed nearly 2 million times and it has been shown by TV stations around the world.
"My issue is I don't think security was professional because they didn't send anyone to check on me until 20 minutes later and I had already left," Cathy told the Reading Eagle earlier this week.
Her attorney, James M. Polyak of Reading, told the newspaper that he plans to conduct an investigation into what happened.
"We are troubled by the fact that anyone at the Berkshire Mall responsible for releasing this video would find humor in an employee injured on the premises," Polyak said. "We intend to hold the appropriate persons responsible.
