What Romney Said VS Obama's Verbal Stumbles

So the media continues to play its "gotcha" game on Mitt Romney -- this time with a video of Romney at a fund raising event -- a video that was reportedly secretly taped and then discovered by Jimmy Carter's grandsonson (also named "Jimmy"). Yeah, Carter's still a bitter, vindictive guy and apparently that sentiment may extend to others in the Carter clan.
So, what did Romney really say?
Well, he said that 47% of the people in this country pay no federal income tax. And, guess what? He's right. We should all be horrified at this statistic. Those of us who work hard and pay taxes are paying for those who don't. And those who don't will soon be the majority. More and more, America is becoming a country of takers rather than makers -- and the makers are working harder and harder to support the takers. Romney sees a danger in too many people viewing themselves as victims. And he's right again. Big, fat, liberal government bloated with entitlements that drive up our debt has fostered a culture of victimization in our country. It's robbing people of their right to succeed on their own and it's taking us broke. Romney says we have a "moral responsibility" to get out of debt, create real jobs and give people the wherewithal to be proud, self-sufficient, producing members of our society. Those who trivialize and twist and demean and pervert his words and his principles do so at their our own peril.
Now that we've discussed Romney's remarks, let's talk about some of the doozies that have come from the mouth of Barack Obama.
Obama is a veritable gaffe machine and his missteps run the gamut from inadequacies to condescending dismissals to flat-out insults. But the Dominant Media always cover for Obama.
Anyway, here are just some of Obama's biggest verbal stumbles:
"You didn't build that!" . . . "I've been to, let's see -- 57 states now." . . . "When I meet with world leaders, what's striking -- whether it's in Europe or here in Asia..." -mistakenly referring to Hawaii as Asia . . . "The private sector is doing fine." . . . "The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries." . . . "The Cambridge police acted stupidly." . . . "It was also interesting to see that political interaction in Europe is not that different from the United States Senate. There's a lot of -- I don't know what the term is in Austrian, wheeling and dealing." --confusing German for "Austrian," a language which does not exist . . . "I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances." --after saying he had spoken with all the living presidents as he prepared to take office . . . "How's it going, Sunshine?" --campaigning in Sunrise, Florida . . . "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong." . . . "It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." --explaining his troubles winning over some working-class voters . . . "No, no. I have been practicing...I bowled a 129. It's like -- it was like Special Olympics, or something." --making an off-hand joke during a TV appearance.
Yeah, when it comes to gaffes Obama runs a close second -- not to Romney, but to his own Vice President, Joe ("The Mouth") Biden.
