Video: Man Dies At Philly Wedding Brawl
In Philadelphia, they call it Society Hill.
It's the posh area amidst the city's historic district.
But last night, at a hotel just blocks from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell it was was the scene of a brawl -- a wedding brawl.
Nobody seems to know exactly how or why it got started. And the folks at the Society Hill Sheraton aren't talking.
What is known is that three people are behind bars for their alleged involvement in the brawl early Sunday morning. In the midst of all this, a 57-year-old man suffered a heart attack and later died.
Police said at least two separate wedding parties got into a fight that began inside the hotel located at One Dock Street.
One group of guests fought with another group who had just returned to the hotel after an off-site reception. It spilled out into the street and police were called in around 1:30 a.m.
Eyewitnesses say the fight began in the lobby. The fight escalated to the point where the cops requested what’s called a 3rd assist, which is an all-hands-on-deck call.
You can look at the tape and the newscast report above and decide for yourself.
