Tea Party Group Showcases Many May Events

Below find important information about up[coming events from the Independence Hall Tea Party Association:

Dr. Alveda King, Civil Rights leader and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, will be appearing at four different area venues on Monday (May 6) and Tuesday (May 7).

Dr. King's first stop, on Monday, at St. Peter Church in West Brandywine, will feature a presentation on "Healing the Woman, Healing the Family, Healing the Nation."

She will then make subsequent appearances in Downingtown, Coatesville, and West Chester. (Dr. King's appearance in our area is a terrific antidote to the culture of "Dr." Gosnell.)

Next, our friends at the Mathew J. Ryan Center have alerted us to an event taking place on Monday, May 13, at the National Constitution Center.

Dr. Richard Beeman, the John Welsh Centennial Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania, will be unveiling his new book, Our Lives, Our Fortunes and Our Sacred Honor: The Forging of American Independence, 1774 - 1776. (Dr. Beeman will be featured in at least one upcoming episode of the Constitution US with Peter Sagal.)

The following night, Tuesday, May 14th, Dick Morris will be prognosticating the future political course of the nation--also at the National Constitution Center.

The following week, Wed., May 22, Drexel University College Republicans will be hosting Brooke Goldstein -- author, filmmaker, and human rights attorney. Ms. Goldstein's documentary, The Making of a Martyr, will be shown prior to her talk.

And finally, last but not least, on Sat., May 25th, Gun Rights Across America will hold a 'Save the 2nd' outdoor rally on Independence Mall. Save the date!
