Hilton Head Resort Sparkles With New Features

The Sonesta Hotel and Resort in Shipyard Plantation on Hilton Head Island has just been given a $30 million upgrade -- a complete redo from top to bottom.
Every room and every space, indoors and out, is bright, fresh and new.
We stopped in to see the place ourselves and if this isn't a living, breathing definition of the "wow factor," we don't know what is.
The new Sonesta is sleek, seductive and welcoming, through and through.
Set on 11 acres of beautifully landscaped beachfront property, this AAA approved Four Diamond family-friendly hotel features a spectacular swimming pool complex, Arum Spacasual and fine dining opportunities, on-site bicycle rentals and is convenient to world-class golf and tennis. The 340 spacious guest rooms and suites of this hotel offer views of the Shipyard Plantation grounds, lush tropical gardens, swimming pools, and the Atlantic Ocean.
New features at this Hilton Head resort include a shaded lap pool and Jacuzzi, as well as a zero-entry heated lagoon swimming pool and children’s area. The new full-service Arum Spa offers guests the opportunity to experience a true Lowcountry spa experience, featuring local products and scents such as jasmine and sea salt. The resort offers indoor and al fresco dining at Bayley’s Lobby Bar & Terrace, Heyward’s Restaurant, Seacrest and Sweet Cane restaurants.
What a great addition to this wonderful, enchanted island!
