Chaddsford Wines Now Serving Flyers Branded Bottles

Local favorite Chaddsford Winery (632 Baltimore Pike; 610-388-6221) is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Philadelphia Flyers: their instant classic WHITE and RED Wines, accessible American blends meant for everyday drinking, will be available throughout the 2013-14 hockey season bearing the team’s distinctive logo.

Flyers-branded bottles of WHITE and RED will be available at the winery itself and at their Peddler’s Village location (20 Merchant’s Row, Lahaska, 215-794-9655), as well as in liquor stores in Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and South Jersey. WHITE and RED will also be served by the glass and by the bottle at all concession and dining outlets at the team’s home arena, Wells Fargo Center, and other sports bars and restaurants throughout the region. Whether as a spirited holiday gift for hockey fans or an affordable and delicious alternative for wine drinkers at hockey games, the partnership will be a win for wine and hockey lovers all season long.

“As lifelong Flyers fans, we’re delighted to announce this new partnership,” says Winery General Manager Bob Brock. “Here at Chaddsford, we’re both wine lovers and hockey lovers – and we can’t wait to share these easy-drinking wines with other like-minded sports fans.”

"The Chaddsford Winery has an outstanding reputation for creating terrific wines," said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko. "We're thrilled that they have chosen to become a team sponsor and to create a special wine for our fans. We look forward to a great partnership with them."

WHITE and RED wines are American blends created by Chaddsford’s master winemakers as high-quality, low-cost everyday wines similar to those that are popular across Europe. Chaddsford WHITE is an off-dry blend of unoaked French-American hybrid grape varietals with the fruity, floral character of a Riesling. It is best served chilled, and complements the Wells Fargo Center’s famed Crabfries®, with their creamy white cheddar cheese dipping sauce. Chaddsford RED is an off-dry blend of unoaked French-American hybrid grape varietals with a pleasant jammy character that is best served lightly chilled as a partner to a 16 oz. Delmonico steak at Wells Fargo Center’s upscale, members-only chophouse Cadillac Grille. WHITE and RED feature user-friendly pairing suggestions on the back of the bottle, as well as convenient screw-top closures to preserve the freshness of the wines, making them a natural choice to serve by the glass at the high-volume Wells Fargo Center.

Founded in 1982, Chaddsford Winery is Pennsylvania’s largest and best-known, devoted to producing high quality wines that are fun, mixable and easy to drink. From Keystone Cup-winning sweet Niagara to more traditional varietals, such as Chardonnay and Merlot, their wines are appropriate for every taste, occasion and budget. Although their wines are available in six states, the best place to purchase and enjoy Chaddsford wines is at the winery in Chester County or their Bucks County tasting room at Peddler’s Village, where their affordable, everyday sipping wines combine with their entertainment and educational offerings for a perfect place to spend a holiday weekend or a laid-back afternoon. More details about all events at the winery, as well as information about their wines, can be found online at www.chaddsford.com.
