Based on Ellis’ iconic novel -- which celebrates the 25th anniversary of its publication this month -- AMERICAN PSYCHO has music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winner Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening), and a book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Supergirl,” “Looking,” “Glee”). Directed by Olivier Award-winner Rupert Goold (King Charles III), AMERICAN PSYCHO has choreography by Tony Award-nominee Lynne Page (La Cage Aux Folles). Benjamin Walker (Bloody Bloody Andrew) portrays the lead role of Patrick Bateman, and the cast also features HelĂ©ne Yorke (Bullets over Broadway, “Masters of Sex”) as Evelyn Williams, Patrick’s girlfriend; Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal) as Patrick’s Mother/Mrs. Wolfe; Tony Award nominee Jennifer Damiano (Next to Normal) as Jean, Patrick’s secretary; and Drew Moerlein (from the series “”South of Hell, ” making his Broadway debut) as Paul Owen.
