Just About As Splendid As It Can Be . . .

You won't find many areas as beautiful as this.
You won't find many that are quite as picturesque.
You won't find many that are have such a pleasant year-round climate.
You certainly won't find many that are quite as dreamy as this -- absolutely!
We're talking about the area around El Paso de Robles, California, The name means "the path of the oaks" and here you will find not only glorious, gnarly oaks but also some of the finest vineyards and wineries anywhere in the United States.
Yes, Paso Robles has become the newest incarnation of wine country in the Golden State. It's not as crowded or as hectic or as self-conscious or as chi chi as Napa or Sanoma. This is the pure, ungentrified, natural, authentic product. It's unhurried, unblemished and unfussy.
You'll find lots of B&B's, small inns and even brand name lodgings in the area but, for the most part, they're scattered and unobtrusive. Plus, there's Monterey and Carmel just a bit north and Santa Barbara just a bit south.
You can't go wrong with "Paso" as locals refer to it.
We highly recommend it and send along these scenes for your enjoyment!
