Just to remind you, here's something that we wrote nearly 18 months ago in the summer of 2016. This was a time when many, many people had written off Donald Trump and his campaign. They all but pronounced his movement dead. They were mocking him, smugly snickering at him and making those who supported him the butt of their jokes.
Here it is again, just for the record . . .
OK, so Donald Trump is having his problems right now.
We won't sugarcoat it. It ain't pretty.
But there's still a long way to go before the election. on the political clock, we've got a "lifetime" to turn things around.
So, for now, let's chill just a bit, regroup and focus on ten things Trump is right about:
1) America is at a crossroads.
Economically, internationally, for our own safety and security, for our survival -- we cannot afford four more years of Obama/Clintonian government. The hour is late. We have to change, NOW!
2) The Clintons are corrupt.
It's not just her -- it's both of them. They're co-dependent and their aim is their own riches. They want to be rich, rich, rich both monetarily and in terms of power. There is no end to their thirst for power, no end to their ambition and no limit to their mendacity. The long list of scandals that hovers over everything they do is more than enough proof of this. The stench of corruption is sickening!
3) PC will destroy us.
Political correctness is nothing more than thought-control. It's censorship of the worst kind. It's today's fascism. If we don't stop it, we're doomed.
4) Globalists don't care about America.
Internationalists will sell America short (or sell us out) almost every time. Globalists see us as greedy, wasteful colonialists. Be sure of this: America is resented and those who talk about the need to think "globally" will be the first ones to capitalize on that resentment.
5) America can and should be great again.
Those who want to see America subsumed into the global vortex want us to increasingly limit ourselves and narrow our horizons. We should not and we must not do that. We have nothing to apologize for and every reason to soar. We can begin to strengthen and rebuild our country by securing our borders, brokering better trade deals and putting America first again. A greater America means a better world!
6) There is a huge forgotten class in this country.
We've forgotten the working class and those who have been left behind, including most of the middle class. They've been subsumed -- left for dead amidst the ravages of the global economy. Obama & Co. simply don't care about these people because they fit neither their needs not their demographics. At it's core, Obamanism is cold and ruthless.
7) Obamacare must be repealed and replaced.
You know it has failed and failed miserably. You can't keep your doctor. You can't keep your hospital. Your rates are still going up -- now more than ever. It's a sham and it's gotta go!
8) The media are overwhelming biased.
They're overwhelmingly liberal and they've been covering for Clinton and Obama for decades. Because they've sold their souls to liberalism, they've stacked the deck. To be sure, this is one of the worst forms of corruption. But, here's the good part: Their cover has now been blown!
9) Law and order are important.
Without respect for the law, democracy cannot survive. We've now been plunged into the first stages of massive chaos with a sort of open warfare on the police and the pervasion of the law in the justice department and in the courts. We must re-establish law and order. Remember this: Where law ends, tyranny begins!
10) Our NATO allies (and others) must pitch in.
They've been getting a free ride for far too long. We cannot police the whole world ourselves. Others have got to start paying their fair share. Now!
