It's CNN-anchor Chris Cuomo pretending to defend Italian-Americans while playing into the worst sort of thuggish, punish, crude and disgraceful Italian-American.
Every Italian-American (indeed, every ethnic American) should take offense at this -- not because of the word "Fredo" (which is not an obvious ethnic slur) but because of the way Chris Cuomo, a supposedly responsible public person behaves. And Cuomo reportedly behaved this way in front of his wife and child.
Italian-Americans have achieved so much and come such a long way and moved so far from this sort of behavior that for Chris Cuomo to act in such a way and reinforce a stereotype that we've worked so hard to erase -- well, it's shameful. It's shameful and unforgivable!
