Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will visit Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School (Bonner & Prendie) in Drexel Hill (Delaware County) and celebrate Mass for the school community. Father Joseph Zaleski, Bonner & Prendie’s campus minister will be the concelebrant.

During the Mass, Archbishop Pérez will use a crozier and presider’s chair that belonged to Archbishop Edmond F. Prendergast. The chair is engraved with Archbishop Prendergast’s coat of arms and will be blessed by the Archbishop.
Archbishop Prendergast was the third Archbishop of Philadelphia and the founder of Saint Vincent’s Orphanage, which went on to become a girls’ high school and later named after him.
Archbishop Pérez will also use a chalice that was recently given to the school by the family of Father Augustine Esposito, OSA. Father Gus, passed into Eternal Life in early January and was president of the school from 2002-2009.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed. The Mass will be streamed live on Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School’s Facebook Page @ MBAPCHS.
Following Mass, the Archbishop will tour Bonner & Prendie lead by members of the student council. Portions of this part of Archbishop Pérez’s visit will be streamed live on the Archbishop’s Facebook Page @ ArchbishopPerez.
