It may be that the biggest loser in last year’s election wasn’t a political candidate, but CNN, which has seen its ratings drop precipitously since former President Donald Trump left office in January.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 25% of likely U.S. voters who regularly watch news on cable TV say they generally watch CNN. Forty-five percent (45%) of cable news viewers choose Fox News Channel and 21% say they generally watch MSNBC. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on May 3-4, 2021 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
