I had to laugh yesterday when I heard that Jon Corzine said that Chris Christie doesn't "share the values" of the people of New Jersey.
What kind of 'values' is Governor Corzine talking about?
Is Corzine talking about the value of taxing a state into near oblivion? Is that what he means?
Or does he mean the value of driving senior citizens out of their homes and communities with the nation's highest property taxes?
Maybe Corzine means the value of turning the other way when corrupt public servants put themselves above the law, break the public trust, lie, steal and cheat amidst a rampant culture of corruption.
Perhaps it's the value of buying friends and allies while funding multi-million dollar smear campaigns against your opponents.
How about the value of extolling the vitues of working people while putting millions of wage-earners out of work?
Or could it be the value of pushing one of the America's wealthiest states to the point of near bankruptcy?
Of course, let's not forget the value of spending money that you don't have and the value of deceiving others about that.
Are these the values Corzine is talking about?
If so, we're glad that Chrsitie (and the rest of us) don't share them!
