NASA Looking For 'Pillownauts'

From Flash News:
Lazy couch potatoes may find their calling with one NASA experiment.

The space aviation leaders are looking for subjects for their Flight Analog Bed Rest Project, which will help them improve space conditions for astronauts.

Test subjects, known as “pillownauts,” must lay in bed for 60 days in a position that puts their heads six degrees lower than their feet.

All meals are brought to subjects, they get an unlimited amount of movies, TV, and Internet to keep them entertained, and they’re encouraged to take on a project, like learn a new language or the guitar in bed to make the time pass faster.

However, since they can’t get up, pillownauts must also use the bathroom in their bed. They also tend to lose some muscle and bone mass in the process.

Project leader Ronita Cromwell says mostly men apply for the job, and also people in between jobs looking for a way to make money.
