Since I'm blogging right now from an HP computer (one that has served me well for more years than you can imagine) I'd be remiss if I did not tell you about this great deal: HP's Touch Pad for $99 (16 gigabyte) or $149 (32 gigabyte). The starting price had previously been $499, then was dropped to $399 and then on Saturday, HP began offering it at the starting price of $99.
That's when sales began to go through the roof.
According to reports around the Web, retailers are seeing sellouts in stores and online.
Well, you don't have to run from store to store to store (and you'll probably be disappointed, anyway).
HP itself is selling the TouchPad in its online store.
Click here and this will take you to the HP Touch Pad page. Here's the hitch: You'll have to click again where it says "notify me" and enter your name, e-mail address and phone number. HP will notify you when the Touch Pad is back in stock.
You'll have to wait but you will still get your touch pad direct from the manufacturer at the new, super-reduced price.
BTW: Be patient. The HP site has been inundated and may take awhile to load but I managed to get through fairly easily. You may never see these prices again!
