The Joys Of October: Nature's Natural Magic
Autumn is fleeting.
Though it's no shorter than the other seasons, it seems to be but a short bridge between one blessedly extended season and another season that simply never seems to end.
Transitional seasons are like that.
But what can top a golden October day? For sheer natural vibrancy, there's nothing like a perfect autumn day.
Yesterday we took advantage of such a day to head on over to nearby Linvilla Orchards to enjoy the sights, sounds and colors of this extraordinary season. Linvilla captures the magic of autumn like no other place we can think of. The pumpkins, the gourds, the ghosts and goblins, the pies, the mums, the scarecrows, the cornstalks, the bales of hay and the sheer variety of apples -- it all takes your breath away!
Yes, we tasted warm apple cider and those luscious apple cider doughnuts. Mmmmm!
We had a wonderful time.
So we thought we'd share some of these photos with you.
Hurry, hurry!
While that golden hue still beckons on the horizon, get on out and flip for fall. Soak it all in!
