Here in Pennsuaken the Governor just said that the DRPA has spent down its last $20 million in community and other grant monies in the grants that the agency authorized this morning.
The Governor says that he and governor Tom Corbett of Pennsylvania have agreed that going forward the DRPA will get back to basics and focus on the bridges and the pots and get out of the grant-making business.
The Governor thanked DRPA member Jeff Nash of Camden County for his leadership and said that Nash was instrumental in helping to bring about the $2 million grant to the Food Bank of South Jersey that the Givernor announced today.
