Two More Ballots, No Pope; More Black Smoke
The cardinal-electors took two more ballots this morning at The vatican and with each black smoke has emerged.
There is still no pope and many are saying there will be no pope until Thursday.
Though there will likely be two more ballots this afternoon, it's worth noting that it has taken on average seven ballots in the last nine conclaves to elect a pope. Benedict XVI was a relative rarity, having been chosen in four ballots. Only one man since the start of the 20th century, Pius XII in 1939, was elected within three ballots.
So, we may have to wait until tomorrow or even till Friday.
Then again . . . . .
